Waste Heat Recovery

Waste Heat Recovery

Waste heat recovery
Waste heat occurs in almost all thermal and mechanical processes. Waste heat is released as by-product of various processes in different forms.
About 50 to 70 percent of industrial energy input is ultimately discharged as waste heat and that between 50 percent of this waste heat can be recovered.
Main Sources of waste heat
- Process Exhaust Air (Flu Gas)
- Cooling System
- Air Compression facilities.
- Ventilation Technology
- Boiler blow down Steam & Water
Technology we use for waste heat recovery
- Heat Pipes/ Heat Exchanger
- Heat Pump
Utilization of waste Heat
- In the same equipment from where it is generated e.g. Heating ovens
- Transfer low temperature water or air waste heat to useful high temperature heat by heat pump for Boiler feed water/ process Heating/ Cooling tower for AHU etc.
